The Corporate Facilities Council believes that knowledgeable members can be our best resources! We seek out the experts among us to provide education for our membership in the form of articles for our newsletter, teleseminars, webinars, and presentations at our conferences and World Workplace meetings.

Educational and Professional Development Opportunities

First Wednesday: a monthly webinar on topics of interest to facilities managers and planners. Archives available here.

Quarterly KeyNote: longer webinars and live presentations oriented to career and personal development.

Community Server: our listserve of direct and immediate support to each other. Many tools developed and used by fellow members are posted here.

Optimal Resume: a council sponsored resume and career development website that is free to our membership.

First Wednesday

Begun in 2007, the CFC's First Wednesday webinars are one-hour monthly sessions, usually hosted by members with valuable experience who are willing to share their expertise.

Moderators encourage discussions that take people out of their comfort zones as well as motivate those with work experiences to share and encourage active participation for the benefit of all. Previous topics included: outsourcing, safety and security, ergonomics, maintenance issues, sourcing, and disaster planning, to name a few. The sessions are approved for CEU and CFM/FMP Maintenance Points.

Heavy participation among CFC members demonstrates an ongoing interest in these dialogues. It has spun-off sidebar discussions when there is a need for clarification and understanding of what is most appropriate for small, mid-sized and large companies, as well as for multi-tenant environments such as office buildings and commercial parks.

We invite you to share your proficiency! Contact Education Chair Serena Pancoast.

Premier Series
Quarterly Keynote Speakers

At Facilities Fusion and World Workplace we also offer special presentations by outstanding speakers in career growth and personal development as part of our Quarterly Keynote Series. The other two quarterly keynote sessions are webinars. Speakers have included Stormy Friday, John Baldoni, Linda Edgecombe, and other presenters of note.

Community Server

Both an educational resource and a means of communication, the Community Server is a key tool to solicit help and counsel from your fellow facilities professionals. Many tools that others have developed and shared are available here, as is the ability to easily ask questions and receive advice.  Link to page with more information.
